This is a really good cake that's just a little spicy.  If you're concerned about the spices, just go easy to your liking.  Basically this is a steamed cake that will get puffier than brownies because of the extra egg.  It will be VERY soft, but the eggs will be fully cooked even though it will seem too soft.  It will be more the texture of a lava cake.
